Intro to Aerial Yoga

Levels: All   

Styles: Incorporates postures from floor-based practices. Can cater to Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, and Restorative yoga styles.

Hammock Height: Hip

 

Introduces and expands ways a suspended aerial hammock can assist floor-based yoga postures. Emphasis is placed on deep stretching, decompression of the spine, core engagement, strengthening, and inverting safely.

Aerial Fitness

Levels: All   

Styles: Incorporates postures from the discipline of yoga, systems within Pilates, suspension training, TRX, and other fitness modalities.

Hammock Height: Below Hip to Hip

 

The suspended aerial hammock brings a range of motion and movement to the practitioner through a wide range of postures found in various fields of fitness. Aerial fitness focuses on the aerobic side of suspended movement, where the core anchors the body in the practice. Aerial Pilates finds its way here as mat and reformer exercises shift hammock engagement.

Low Hammock ‘FOREST BATHING’

Hammock Height: 6” – 12” off of the ground

 

Based on the Japanese philosophy of “shinrin-yoku (森林浴)”- Low Hammock ‘Forest Bathing’™ is a delicious aerial practice that rejuvenates the body, mind, and spirit. Drawing upon Yin yoga postures and the sounds of Nature, each motion brings muscles, facia, the psyche, and soul back into equilibrium. The aerial hammock is set just above the ground where Earth and Air meet to support deep holds and inverted heart openers. This yummy practice benefits anyone with injuries, high levels of stress, or anyone needing a quiet moment.
